Privacy Policy
The short version. You can browse ID Season without an account. If you sign in, we keep only your Google sign-in details and whether you have Premium. No ads, and we never sell your data or share it for advertising. To learn which features get used, the site and apps count, anonymously, which tabs and tools are opened (see Anonymous usage counts), and you can turn that off. We don't collect anything about players or college athletes as individuals.
What you can do without an account
You can browse the map, calendar and college list without signing in. We don't ask for any personal information to do that.
What we collect
- Account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and a Google account ID through Firebase Authentication (a Google service). We use them to keep you signed in and to know whether you have Premium.
- Premium. If you buy Premium, the subscription is managed by RevenueCat and paid through Stripe. We never see or store your card number. RevenueCat tells us whether your subscription is active, using your account ID, and RevenueCat and Stripe keep their own records under the RevenueCat and Stripe privacy policies.
- Technical data. Our host, Google Firebase, processes standard request data, such as your IP address and browser type, to serve the site and keep it secure. Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts, photos from Unsplash and code libraries from jsDelivr, which receive the same kind of request data. We don't use advertising cookies.
- Anonymous usage counts. To see which parts of ID Season are used and fix what isn't working, the site and the apps count how they're used and send those counts to our own Google Cloud Firestore database. It isn't Google Analytics or any other analytics company, it sets no cookies, and nothing is used for advertising or shared with anyone. What's sent: which tabs and panels are opened and for how long (for example the map or the calendar), which kinds of filters are used (for example level, state or position, never what you type in the search box), whether camp and roster links are opened, whether the Premium plans were shown and whether a purchase went through, and the text of any app error. With them go: a random number made when ID Season is first opened (it isn't linked to your account, device, store account or anything else, and we can't tell who it belongs to), the platform and app version, the operating system version, phone, tablet or computer, the device language and time zone, and whether Premium is on. What's never sent: your name, email or account, anything you type, your location, contacts, advertising ID or device model. We don't keep IP addresses with the counts. We add the counts up by day; the raw counts are deleted after 60 days and only the daily totals are kept. To turn it off, open About the data in the app and untick Share anonymous usage counts; ID Season then deletes its random number and anything not yet sent. On the web, a browser's Global Privacy Control signal turns it off too.
- Sign-in storage. Firebase stores a sign-in token in your browser so you stay signed in. It isn't used for advertising.
What we don't collect
We don't ask for players' names, birthdates, schools, positions or contact details. ID Season is meant for parents, guardians, coaches and players aged 13 and over. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
About the college data
Camp listings come from colleges' public camp pages. Program lists come from the NCAA directory and the U.S. Department of Education's public data. Roster information is reduced to team totals by position and class year. We don't store or show player names or any other information about individual college athletes.
How we use and share information
We use your information only to run ID Season: signing you in, providing Premium, answering support requests and understanding how the site is used. We don't sell personal information or share it for advertising. The service providers that process data for us are Google Firebase (hosting, sign-in and database, including the anonymous usage counts, in the United States), RevenueCat (subscriptions) and Stripe (payments).
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account until you delete it. To delete it, sign in, open the Premium panel ("Go Premium" or "★ Premium" at the top of the app) and choose Delete my account, or email support@spaikz.com from the address you signed in with. Deleting your account removes your sign-in record. Cancel any Premium subscription first. Stripe keeps payment records as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing support@spaikz.com.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell signed-in users in the app.
