A guide for players and parents · updated October 2026
An ID camp is worth it when it's at a college that's a realistic fit for you, academically and athletically, and the coaches are likely to recruit your position. It's rarely worth it as a lottery ticket at a school that isn't a fit.
For many programs, a camp is where a coach first sees a player in person: in their drills, with their staff. It's also your best look at the campus, the team and the coaches.
A one-day college camp usually costs $100–$250 before travel. In ID Season's data the median price is soccer about $180, baseball about $150, softball about $135. Overnight and multi-day camps cost more. Add travel, and a weekend away can cost several times the fee, so choose carefully.
ID Season puts the ID and prospect camps of every US college soccer, baseball and softball program (6,352 programs) on one map and calendar, checked every night.
